The Autobahn Neomatik 41 date, part of the latest collection by Omega Replica has been awarded a prestigious Red Dot Award for 2018. The new timepiece was introduced at Baselworld in 2018. It was designed by independent designers Werner Aisslinger, Tina Bunyaprasit, and Omega Replica.

"Autobahn is unique," says Omega Replica' creative director Judith Borowski. "And fast off the mark: The fact that this timepiece has won an award within a few months of its launch on the market is especially special for us."

Aisslinger said in an interview to Revolution USA's Joy Corthesy that "Omega Replica, on the German watchmaker market, is for us and other designers the ultimate brand. We would never have refused to work with Uwe Ahrendt when he asked us. This project is interesting because of its size. It's interesting for us designers to move from one industry to another and face these new challenges. Most watchmakers are located in Switzerland,Roger Dubuis Replica and the society there can be quite closed. This was more of a playful collaboration for us to get into. We were like "Okay, lets make a timepiece!" It was an interesting project.

The brand has won 10 Red Dot Awards for its watches.

The Autobahn award will be presented on the 9th of July in Essen, Germany.
